Pre operative instructions:

IF YOU SHOULD HAVE QUESTIONS REGARDING YOUR UPCOMING PROCEDURE, PLEASE CONTACT US PRIOR TO YOUR APPOINTMENT DATE SO THAT YOUR TIME WITH THE DOCTOR ON THAT DAY IS NOT COMPROMISED.  THANK YOU.

1.     It is best to have something to eat before having surgery. (UNLESS you are having intravenous anesthesia.) 

2.     If you can take Ibuprophen (Advil, Motrin), take 400-600 mgs (which equals 2-3 tablets) with food one hour prior to surgery.

3.     Please notify the office IMMEDIATELY if you are on any kind of medication such as ASPIRIN, antibiotics, or any other medications (even over the counter medications). 

4.     Check with your medical doctor to see if it is necessary to take medication prior to surgery.

5.     Please make us aware if you have had any of the following procedures: 

        a.   Hip replacement

        b.  Knee replacement

        c.  Any other type of prosthesis

6.     Please tell us of any other pertinent medical or dental facts prior to your next appointment. 

7.     Nitrous Oxide (Gas) is available at an additional fee.

8.     Since the surgery takes a long block of the doctors’ time, we require at least 3 working days notice for cancellation or there will be a charge.
