Meet Drs. Butler & Salkin, Periodontists in Lansdale, PA

North Penn Periodontal Associates has been serving the North Penn area of Montgomery County PA. since Dr. Lawrence Butler founded it in 1971. Dr. Leslie Salkin joined North Penn Periodontal Associates in 1981 merging his practice from a neighboring community.

Both doctors are active in the field of Periodontology through service to organized dentistry, continuing education for the professional community, and teaching appointments at both Temple University School of Dentistry and the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. They have also held attending and associate positions at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Hahnemann University Hospital, the VA Hospital of Wilmington and Central Montgomery Medical Center in Lansdale, Pa.

The Doctors bring over 60 years of experience in Periodontics and Implants to the practice. Aside from teaching, the doctors devote a great deal of time training in the latest techniques and therapies for their patients. They take pride in remaining in the forefront of contemporary Periodontal and Implant therapies and consider themselves fortunate to be in an extremely dynamic and constantly changing field, requiring the practitioners to actively stay current in order to provide the best treatments currently available for their patients.

Dr Butler is a graduate of Temple University School of Dentistry where he earned a DDS in 1967. After serving two years in the armed forces he attended Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry and earned a certificate of Specialty in Periodontology and a Masters Degree. Dr. Butler is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.

Dr Salkin is a graduate of Temple University School of Dentistry where he earned a DDS in 1966. After serving two years in the armed services he attended New York University School of Dentistry and earned a Certificate of Specialty in Periodontology and a M.Ed. two years earlier with a concentration in group dynamics. Dr. Salkin is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.

North Penn Periodontal Associates is a practice that is focused on the patient.  Our experienced staff is here to serve the patient and make their experiences with the office positive.  This is a source of pride for all the staff.
